Biography

David McGuire

David is a Charlotte native. His career with the Roby Family of Companies started during his senior year of high school and freshman year of college. He worked summers and holidays as a laborer doing jobsite demos and cleanup, carrying brick, mixing mortar, digging ditches and more. He graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management & Society. He is also a Management Training Graduate of Sandler Sales Institute. After 7+ years of working in sales and management at Ferguson Enterprises, David returned to the Roby Family of Companies in July 2008. He is a past president of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) of Greater Charlotte, and served as a board member from 2016-2022. He was honored with the Hope Award at the organization’s 2018 Contractor of the Year (COTY) Awards and the President’s Award in 2021. He is a past president of the Charlotte Providence Rotary Club, where in 2014 he was honored with the title of Distinguished Rotarian. Currently, David serves on the board as a Builder Director of the Home Builders Association (HBA) of Greater Charlotte and serves as an Executive Committee Member for the Real Estate & Building Industry Coalition (REBIC). He volunteers as a baseball coach for South Park Youth Association and is an active member of Christ Episcopal Church. In 2013, David was named one of the Charlotte Business Journal’s “Top 40 Under 40” young professionals.”
