Biography

Troy Dechert

Troy joined the Roby team in September 2012 as a carpenter, was quickly promoted to Superintendent and then Executive Superintendent. He earned the title of Director of Production in May 2015.

In this role, Troy manages all residential construction field operations. He leads weekly production meetings with all Project Managers and field staff to coordinate schedules, ensure all current and upcoming projects are fully staffed, assess any hiring needs, and evaluate performance. He is knowledgeable about every ongoing and upcoming Roby project, and is committed to making sure all jobs run smoothly and that all clients receive excellent customer service.

To achieve this level of excellence, Troy has implemented field training and safety programs for new hires. When not in the office, Troy can be found riding from jobsite to jobsite checking quality and service and providing support to staff where needed.

Troy is a strong leader with a positive “can do” attitude. He fully believes in and lives by the company’s core value of providing “white glove” service to all clients, and encourages his staff to do the same through support and education.

To recognize Troy and his contributions to the company, he was nominated for and received the Leadership Award at the 2017 MAME Awards hosted by the Home Builders Association (HBA) of Greater Charlotte.

Active in the industry, Troy currently serves on the board of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) of Greater Charlotte and the board of the Rebuilding Opportunities in Construction (The ROC) school. A new joint venture of CMS, CPCC and Goodwill Industries, The ROC provides high school students with skills training, apprenticeships and mentors in the home building and construction industries.
